PrimoWireless is a professional telecommunications company which provides high speed broadband services spanning the hard to reach areas of Taranaki.

Most people in Taranaki who live in urban areas such as New Plymouth, Waitara, Inglewood, Stratford and Hawera can get fast broadband through fixed phone lines, however all of those people that live and work outside the urban boundaries experience limitations with broadband access and performance all down to the old local copper wire infrastructure.

PrimoWireless was started by Matthew Harrison in early 2007 to address the need for fast rural broadband by establishing a wireless network across the rural areas of Taranaki.

Wireless is the fastest rural broadband technology there is and this is the primary solution that PrimoWireless offers. There is the satellite solution which is slower than wireless and PrimoWireless's new customers include many that have upgraded from satellite to wireless to get the faster upload and download speeds for the cheaper price.

PrimoWireless is growing rapidly which is down to the superior high speed broadband product it provides, the local customer service and the drive of the people behind the business. Of the hundreds of wireless broadband customers we have connected it is evident that the service and product is right maintaining a near 100% customer retention rate* (and this is not down to being tied into a lengthy contract – unlike a lot of unhappy satellite customers).
