The Adventure:

Jurassic Waterfall Adventure Tour with Precision Helicopters

Jurassic Falls (real name Matapeka Falls) is up the Mohakatino River, into the Hutiwai wetland swamps in North Taranaki. The falls appear out of nowhere in amongst thick forest and terrain. The rocks at the base of the falls contain ancient fossils which are truly amazing.

A real expedition and bucket list trip!  Fly along the Taranaki coastline to the mouth of the Tongaporutu river, travelling up the Hutiwai wetland which is the longest coastal wetland in the North Island.

The helicopter lands at the base of the Matapeka Falls and there’s time for a short walk or even a swim if the weather's good.
