Primo Phone

Phone Calls Using Your PrimoWireless Rural Wireless, Ultrafast Fibre, or Primo VDSL Connection

Primo Phone is a product based on the newest VoIP (Voice over IP) technology and it is a great alternative solution for that expensive and noisy traditional copper 'land line' offered by the big telcos.

Now here's the best bit, as Primo Phone runs over your PrimoWireless internet connection the price per month per line is only $15.00. This price includes free calling locally for 2000 minutes and nationally for 120 minutes, after this our toll rates apply (0900 numbers are not supported).

Also included for free are voicemail, caller ID, call diversion and call waiting.

You don't need a special phone to operate VoIP, but you will need an 'adapter'.  We recommend you use a PrimoWireless router which supports VoIP calling, this is a one off cost of $200 (included with Ultra-Fast Fibre residential phone bundle).  If you have your own wireless router compatible with our network you will need an Analogue Telephone Adapter (ATA), this is a one off hardware cost of $150.00 (which will support up to 2 lines). If purchased by you the PrimoWireless router or ATA becomes your property and is serviced by us.

There is a number porting fee of $25.00 per number to keep your existing numbers from your old provider, this fee is waived if you do not have one and we randomly generate you a number.

RBI Phone

Phone calls using your RBI 3G/4G Internet Connection^#

As your RBI phone runs over your Primo RBI internet connection the price per month is only $20.00. This price includes free calling to landlines locally and nationally^ mobile and international calling charges apply.

Caller ID is included for free, and you can also add on voicemail for $7.00, call diversion and call waiting for $4.00 each per month.
 
You don’t need a special phone to operate RBI phone, just plug your normal phone into the RBI modem.
 
You can keep your existing number and this can be ported over for free.  Otherwise a new number will be generated for you.
 
Your modem only supports a single phone line, but you can use multiple DECT phones to share your connection – plug the main DECT base unit into your modem.
 
Do you call Australia lots? Then our Aussie Add-on could be for you – for $25.00 per month you can call landlines in Australia as many times as you like for up to 2 hours^ at a time!
 
What about the rest of the world?  Then try the International add-on for $40.00 per month, calling to landlines in over 100 countries* as many times as you like for up to 2 hours^ at a time!
 
^ 2 hour calling cap applies then you are charged by the minute – so hang up before 2 hours and ring them back for free!

Primo and RBI phone may not be suitable for everyone

Some service limitations do apply talk to us if you use or intend to use any of the following;

-          A medic alarm link
-          Fax
-          EFTPOS
-          Monitored building alarm
-          Sky remote to download pay per view movies or games
 
Primo and RBI phone are a cost effective option, however they may not be perfect all of the time, they may sound like a bad cell phone call i.e. a bit echoey from time to time.
 
Things to remember
 
-          PrimoWireless and RBI connections require power.  In the event of a power failure, these services along with phones will not be available, including access to emergency services.  You can counter this with an Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS), you plug your modem/router into it and it holds a charge for a period of time while your power is out and it means you still have access to the internet or phone.  Your calls to emergency services are not GIS locatable, so you need to be very clear to emergency services with directions on how to find you.
-          When making a call you need to enter the area code even if making a local area call.
-          We can set up toll bars for International and 0900 number, just request this when you talk to us.
-          Your contact details won’t be put in the local phone book unless you want them to be.  Email us the details as you want them to be published and we’ll do the rest!
